Yedlin joined Seattle Sounders FC on January 11, 2013, as the team’s first homegrown player, following two seasons with Akron.

On March 2, he made his debut against the Montreal Impact in a 1-0 home loss. Yedlin’s effort earned him a spot on the MLS Team of the Week, becoming the only rookie to do so in his career.

Yedlin shone and scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 victory over Tigres on March 12 in the second leg of the Sounders’ 3-2 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal triumph on aggregate.

Yedlin became the first rookie to be named to the All-Star team since 2005 when Michael Parkhurst was chosen for the team during his rookie season. Yedlin was named to the MLS All-Star team on July 15 for their match against Roma on July 31.

According to MLSSoccer.com, Yedlin was ranked third among MLS players under the age of 24 in 2013. On July 20, 2013, Yedlin scored his first goal in the professional league during a 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids.

Yedlin signed a five-year deal with Newcastle United on August 24, 2016, for a fee of £5 million. On August 27, he made his professional debut in place of Yoan Gouffran in the 88th minute of a match against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Yedlin signed a 2.5-year contract with Turkish team Galatasaray on February 1, 2021. On March 19, Yedlin scored the team’s first goal since 2019 in a dramatic 3-4 home loss to Aykur Rizespor, gave up a penalty, and received a red card.

His agreement with Galatasaray was mutually ended on January 26, 2022. Yedlin signed a four-year contract with a one-year option when he joined Inter Miami on February 2, 2022.
